The recommended torque is 16 Nm (12 lb-ft).

You need to connect the battery negative cable to the battery, unlock the Theftlock (R) radio, program the radio stations back into the radio, set the clock to the current time, and perform the reinitialization of the power windows.

You need to remove the battery tray, open the stud cover on the fuse/relay center cover, the positive battery cable nut, the positive battery cable lead from the stud, the battery positive fuse block cable from the stud, disengage the kick-up panel latches inside the vehicle, open the panel, lift the panels bottom edge up and out of the slots in the multi-use relay bracket, remove the kick-up panel, unsnap the junction block from the bracket, reposition the junction block nut boot, remove the instrument panel (I/P) wiring harness junction block nut, the battery positive fuse block cable from the stud, route the fuse block cable through the front of the dash and remove the cable.

The procedure is to install the negative battery cable, bolt the negative cable ground lead to the chassis, connect the negative battery cable, and reposition the carpet.

The procedure is to install the positive battery cable, push the positive cable grommet into place in the dash panel, install the positive battery cable to retainers, install the carpet, the positive cable leads to the fuse/relay center stud, connect the negative battery cable, install the positive battery cable lead and the positive battery cable nut to the fuse/relay center stud, close the stud cover on the fuse/relay center.
