2006 Chevrolet Corvette Belt Tensioner

The procedure is to position the drive belt Idler Pulley on the generator mounting bracket, hand tighten the drive belt idler pulley mounting bolt, and the drive belt idler pulley bolt, and install the accessory drive belt.

You need to remove the oil pump, the camshaft sprocket bolts, the camshaft sprocket and Timing Chain, the bolts and timing chain dampener, the crankshaft sprocket, the crankshaft sprocket, the crankshaft sprocket key, and clean and inspect the timing chain and sprockets.

You need to remove the accessory Drive Belt, relieve tension on the belt, remove the A/C belt from the pulleys, release the tension on the A/C belt tensioner, remove the wrench and or socket from the A/C belt tensioner, and clean and inspect the belt surfaces of all the pulleys.
