The recommended torque is 35 Nm (26 ft. lbs.).

01/11/2022Q: What is the inspection procedure for the Lubricant Level-Rear Drive Axle?
A:
The procedure is to clean any dirt from around the differential fill plug, remove the fill plug and washer from the differential, check the differential fluid level, add new fluid with synthetic axle lubricant GM P/N 12378261 (Canadian P/N 10953455), and install the fill plug and washer to the differential.
