A:
The procedure is to tighten all wheel nuts, loosen each wheel nut 2 turns, rock the vehicle from side to side, repeat this procedure if the wheel does not break free, raise the vehicle, remove the wheel nuts, mark the location of the tire and wheel assembly to the hub assembly, remove the tire and wheel assembly and clean the wheel nuts, studs and the wheel and rotor mounting surfaces.

01/11/2022Q: How do you dismount and mount the tires?
A:
You can deflate the tire completely, remove the tire from the wheel, remove all residual liquid sealant from the inside of the tire and wheel surfaces, remove any rubber, light rust, or corrosion from the wheel bead seats, apply GM P/N 12345884 (Canadian P/N 5728223) or equivalent to the tire bead and the wheel rim, install the tire to the wheel, inflate the tire to the proper air pressure and ensure that the locating rings are visible on both sides of the tire.

A:
You can place the straight edge on the wheel inboard mounting surface, repeat this procedure on at least 3-4 different positions on the inboard mounting surface, inspect the mounting wheel/nut holes for damage caused by over-torquing the wheel/nuts, replace the wheel if the wheel is bent and replace the wheel if the wheel/nut boss area is cracked.

The procedure is to inspect the wheels for damage from uncoated wheel balance weights or automatic car wash facilities, inspect the wheels for corrosion, scraps, and gouges, verify the damage is not deeper than what sanding can remove, inspect the wheels for cracks and inspect the wheels for bent rim flanges.
