Q: How do you install the right exhaust manifold (RPO LS4)?
A:
You can apply a 5 mm (0.2 inches) wide band of thread lock GM P/N 12345493 (Canadian P/N 10953488) or equivalent to the threads of the exhaust manifold bolts, install a new exhaust manifold gasket, the exhaust manifold and bolts, bend over the exposed edge of the exhaust manifold gasket, install the exhaust manifold heat shield and the bolts, install the O2 sensor, raise the vehicle, remove the mechanics' wire, connect the catalytic converter, install the exhaust crossover pipe nuts and install the ignition coil, the spark plugs and the fuel injector sight shield.

Q: How do you install the left exhaust manifold (RPO LS4)?
A:

The procedure is to remove the engine sight shield, the exhaust crossover pipe heat shield, the exhaust crossover pipe nuts, the left side spark plugs, the oil level indicator tube, the exhaust manifold heat shield bolts, the exhaust manifold heat shield, the heater hose retainer bolts, the exhaust manifold bolts, and the exhaust manifold, remove and discard the exhaust manifold gasket and clean and inspect the left exhaust manifold.
