You can slide the Fuel Level Sensor onto the bucket and slide it upward, slide the fuel level sensor upward, connect the fuel level sensor electrical connector and install the fuel sender assembly.

The procedure is to remove the fuel tank, disconnect the evaporative emission (EVAP) lines and the fuel line, reposition the fuel feed and EVAP lines, unlock the fuel sender lock ring, remove the fuel sender, remove and discard the fuel sender O-ring seal, clean and inspect the fuel sender assembly O-ring seal sealing surfaces, place the lock ring on a flat surface and measure the clearance between to lock ring and the flat surface. If the warpage is greater than 0.41 mm (0.016 in), the lock ring must be replaced.

The procedure is to disconnect the connector from the component, remove the wire dress cover, push the wire side of the terminal, insert the J 38125-561 tool into the 2 cavities on each side of the terminal and pull the terminal out of the connector.
