Q: What is the proper way to install the timing chain and sprockets?
A:
You can install the key into the crankshaft keyway, tap the key into the keyway, install the crankshaft sprocket onto the front of the crankshaft, install the crankshaft sprocket onto the crankshaft, rotate the crankshaft sprocket, install the timing change guide and bolts, install the chain dampener properly, the camshaft sprocket and timing chain, install the camshaft sprocket bolts, inspect the camshaft and crankshaft sprockets for proper timing mark alignment and install the oil pump.

Q: How do you replace the timing chain and sprockets?
A:
You can remove the oil pump, rotate the crankshaft, remove the camshaft sprocket bolts, the camshaft sprocket, and timing chain, remove the timing chain dampener and bolts, remove the crankshaft sprocket and the crankshaft sprocket key and clean and inspect the timing chain and sprockets.
