FAQ for Transmission Oil Cooler Hose Repair

Q: How do you replace the transmission fluid cooler hose/pipe?
A:
You can disconnect the transaxle oil cooler (TOC) outlet hose from the top side of the radiator, raise the vehicle, remove the TOC hose retainer bolt, position a drain pan below the oil cooler hoses, disconnect the TOC outlet hose from the transaxle, disconnect the TOC inlet hose from the transaxle and the radiator, disconnect the TOC hoses from the radiator support retainer and remove the TOC hoses.

Q: What is the proper way to install the transmission fluid cooler hose/pipe?
A:
You can install the TOC hoses, connect the TOC hoses to the radiator support retainer, connect the TOC inlet hose to the radiator, connect the TOC inlet hose to the transaxle, connect the TOC outlet hose to the transaxle, install the TOC hose retainer and the bolt, lower the vehicle, connect the TOC outlet hose to the top side of the radiator and adjust the fluid level.
