Q: What is the removal procedure for the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil (coil and harness assembly)?

You need to disable the SIR System, verify the wheels and the J42640 before removing the SIR coil, remove the steering wheel from the steering shaft, pull the tilt lever straight out, the 2 TORX(R) head screws from the lower and upper trim cover, the lower trim cover, the upper trim cover, the wire harness straps, and the retaining ring, disconnect the wire harness assembly from the base of the column, remove the SIR coil and wire harness assembly.
