Q: What is the removal procedure for the exhaust seal?
A:
You need to raise and suitably support the vehicle, disconnect the Connector Position Assurance (CPA) retainer and the oxygen sensor electrical connector, support the catalytic converter or exhaust manifold pipe, remove the right exhaust manifold pipe nuts, the left exhaust manifold pipe nuts and the exhaust hanger mounting bracket bolts, lower the catalytic converter or exhaust manifold pipe, and remove the exhaust manifold pipe seal(s).

Q: What is the removal procedure for the exhaust manifold pipe (6.0L and 8.1L Engines)?
A:
You need to raise and suitably support the vehicle, support the transmission, remove the transmission mount to transmission support nuts, raise the transmission off of the transmission support, remove the transmission support cross-member bolts, the transmission support cross-member, the exhaust muffler, and the clip, disconnect the Connector Position Assurance (CPA) retainer and the oxygen sensor electrical connector, remove the oxygen sensor and the exhaust manifold pipe nuts, lower the transmission slightly, remove the exhaust manifold pipe, and discard the exhaust manifold pipe seal.

Q: What is the removal procedure for the exhaust hanger mounting bracket (6.0L and 8.1 L Engines)?
A:
You need to remove the exhaust manifold pipe and the catalytic converter, remove the exhaust pipe hanger bracket bolts if equipped with a 4L80E transmission, remove the exhaust pipe hanger bracket bolts if equipped with a 4L60E transmission, and remove the exhaust manifold pipe bracket.
