A:
You should always replace the fuel sender seal when installing the fuel sender assembly. Replace the lock ring if necessary. Do not apply any type of lubrication in the seal groove.

Q: What should be noticed when removing the fuel sender assembly (Dual Tanks-Rear)?
A:
You should not use impact tools. A significant force will be required to release the lock ring. The use of a hammer and screwdriver is not recommended. Secure the fuel tank to prevent fuel tank rotation.

Q: What is the removal procedure for the fuel sender assembly (Dual Tanks-Rear)?
A:
You need to remove the rear fuel tank, disconnect the evaporative emission (EVAP) lines, unlock the fuel sender lock ring, remove the J 45722 and the lock ring, carefully lift the fuel tank module from the fuel tank, disconnect the vapor line quick connect fittings to remove the module, remove the module from the fuel tank and discard the fuel tank module seal, and place the lock ring on a flat surface.
