Q: What is the removal procedure for the ignition lock cylinder?
A:
You need to disconnect the negative battery cable, disable the SIR system, lower the hush and knee bolster, remove the steering column trim covers, turn the key to the run position, install a wrench into the hole on top of the lock cylinder housing, and slide the lock cylinder out of the lock cylinder housing.

Q: How to assemble and code the IP storage compartment lock cylinder?
A:
You need to hold the cylinder, insert tumbler springs into the 4 spring wells, install the tumbler for key cut position 7 into the slot nearest to the front of the lock cylinder, install the 3 remaining tumblers, key cut positions 8, 9, and 10, into the cylinder, snap the tumblers into place with light hand pressure, and inspect for the correct loading of the tumblers.

You need to disable the SIR system, remove the ignition switch, the turn signal cancel cam, the park lock cable from the lock cylinder housing, 3 TORX screws, and the lock cylinder housing from the steering column.

Q: How to install the ignition lock cylinder?
A:
You need to install the key into the lock cylinder, rotate the lock cylinder housing gear clockwise to the start position, align the lock cylinder and install into the lock cylinder housing, install the steering column trim covers, the hush and knee bolster, enable the SIR system, and connect the negative battery cable.
