Q: How to install the Suction Screen?
A:
You should install the 0.471° (11.96 mm) screen in the middle of the reduced diameter point of the fitting, place the suction hose fitting or suction hose side of the manifold into the installation tool fixture J-44551-5 so it is supported by the tools legs, align the screen, basket first. into the suction hose bore then hand tighten the bolt until contact is made between the hose, screen and tool, turn the bolt of the installation tool clockwise pressing the screen into the bore until the mandrel shoulder contacts the end of the hose fitting, unscrew the bolt and remove the installation tool from the hose or manifold and install the J-44551-1 suction screen notification label.

You should remove the compressor hose assembly nut, the compressor hose assembly from the compressor, the sealing washers, the compressor suction hose nut from the accumulator, the compressor suction hose from the accumulator, the O-ring seal, the bolt from the lift bracket, the nut from the engine stud, the compressor discharge hose from the condenser, the nut from compressor hose connection in driver wheel opening, and the O-ring seals.

You should remove the A/C compressor hose assembly from the A/C compressor, place the tip of the tool under the inside edge of the compression band of the suction screen and the cushioning fulcrum pad against the open end of the hose or manifold fitting and remove the screen.
