You should remove the clamp from the boot with a pair of side cutters, the tripot housing, and the trilobal tripot bushing from the half-shaft bar, any evident corrosion in the transmission sealing surface, the spider assembly, the spacer ring, the spider assembly, the second spacer ring, and the tripot boot.

A:
You should install the convolute retainer over the boot capturing 4 convolutions, the spacer ring, and spider assembly onto the half-shaft bar, the other spacer ring in the groove at the end of the half-shaft bar, and the boot onto the trilobal tripot bushing, and remove the convolute retainer from the boot.

You should insert the inner race into the cage by rotating the inner race downward, insert the cage and inner race into the outer race, tap gently on the brass drift to tilt the cage, install the first ball when the cage tilts, reinstall all of the balls, insert the bolts and remove any excess air.

A:
You should wipe all grease away from the face of the CV joint, spread the snap ring ears apart using J 8059 (or equivalent), place a brass drift against the cage, tap gently on the brass drift to tilt the cage, remove the first ball when the cage tilts and all of the balls, pivot the cage and the inner race 90 degrees to the centerline of the outer race, remove the inner race from the cage by rotating the inner race upward and degrease all of the CV joint parts.
