Q: How to install the Timing Chain, Sprockets, and/or Tensioner?
A:
You should install the timing chain tensioner and secure the tensioner with the bolts, the timing chain tensioner guide and secure the guide with the bolts, the timing chain tensioner shoe and secure the shoe with the bolt, the cylinder head access hole plugs, the J 44221 with the camshaft flats up and the number 1 piston at top dead center, the crankshaft sprocket, the intake camshaft sprocket into the timing chain, the timing chain on the crankshaft sprocket, the intake camshaft sprocket onto the intake camshaft, the intake camshaft sprocket washer, and bolt, the exhaust camshaft actuator into the timing chain, the exhaust camshaft actuator onto the exhaust camshaft, the exhaust camshaft actuator bolt, and the intake camshaft sprocket bolt, remove the tee in the timing chain tensioner to regain tension on the timing chain, and the J 44221, and install the top chain guide, the top chain guide bolts, the engine front cover, and the camshaft cover.
