2007 Buick Rendezvous Oil Filter

After installing the Oil Pump, the oil pump bolts, and the case side cover, you can reset the transmission adaptive pressure values.

After installing the engine support fixture, you can remove the right-side engine mount and the oil filter, drain the crankcase and remove the engine harness clips, and the cotter pin. Then you can loosen the ball stud nut, install the J 41820 over the ball stud nut, rotate the ball stud nut counterclockwise, remove the air conditioning (A/C) compressor bolts and position the A/C compressor aside. Then you can remove the transaxle brace bolts, the transaxle brace, the transaxle brace bolts, the transaxle brace, and the starter. After that, you can disconnect the engine harness electrical connector, remove the retainers and the transaxle mount, install a suitable adjustable jack, and remove the cradle bolts, the Oil Pan side bolts, the oil pan bolts, the oil pan, and the oil pan gasket. Then you can clean the oil pan sealing surfaces.

After removing the oil filter, you can remove the oil filter bypass hole plug and insert a flat-bladed tool into the oil filter bypass hole and remove the bypass valve.
