You can install the half shaft into a vise, the new small-eared clamp, the outboard seal, the eared clamp, a light coat of grease from the service kit on the ball grooves of the inner race and the outer race, the cage, and the inner race into the outer race, the first chrome ball then tilt the cage in the opposite direction to insert the opposing ball, the CV joint, the seal retaining clamp, the gap dimension on the clamp ear.

You can remove the swage ring from the half shaft bar using a hand grinder to cut through the ring, taking care not to damage the half shaft bar, the large seal retaining clamp, the inboard seal from the trilobal tripot bushing, the seal away from the joint along the half shaft bar, the housing, the spacer ring, the spacer ring, and inspect the needle rollers, needle bearings, and trunnion.

You can mount the half shaft into a vise, place the new small-eared clamp, the small end of the joint seal, the eared clamp, install the spacer ring, the tripot joint spider assembly, the spacer ring, the trilobal tripot bushing, the larger new seal retaining clamp, the housing, the large diameter of the half shaft inboard seal, the joint assembly at the proper vehicle dimension, and check the gap dimension (a) on the clamp ear.

You can remove the large seal retaining clamp from the CV joint with a side cutter, the half shaft outboard seal from the CV joint outer race, the grease from the face of the CV joint inner race, the ears on the race retaining ring, the CV joint assembly, the half shaft outboard seal, the old outboard seal, a brass drift against the CV joint cage, the first chrome alloy ball, the inner race, the CV joint assembly, any damaged parts, and clean the half shaft bar.
