A:
Remove only the propeller shaft coupler-to-differential flange bolts. Do NOT remove the coupler from the propeller shaft.

Q: How to inspect the Lubricant Level?
A:
Clean any dirt from around the Differential fill plug, remove the fill plug from the differential and drain the fluid, check the differential fluid level, fill the differential with 75W90 synthetic axle lubricant if needed, and install the differential fill plug.
Q: What should be done with Differential Pinion Seal Leaks?
A:
Dealers/retailers are to install a new drive axle Differential Seal.
Q: What should be noticed during the removal procedure?
A:
The cross-groove joint shank must be parallel to the half-shaft bar before its removal. Never allow the inner race or cage to rotate within the outer race when the cross groove joint is separated from the half-shaft bar.
