You need to remove the tire and wheel assembly, the rear wheel speed sensor, the rear axle housing cover, the axle shaft, the axle shaft seal, the bearing, and the wheel speed sensor ring from the axle housing using the J 45857 and the J 2619-0.

Q: How do you install the Rear Wheel Speed Sensor Ring?
A:
You need to install the wheel speed sensor ring using the J 45860 and the J 8092, drive the wheel speed sensor ring into the axle housing until the tool bottoms against the tube, install the axle shaft bearing using the J 23690 and the J 8092, drive the axle shaft bearing into the axle housing until the tool bottoms against the tube and install the axle shaft seal using the J 21128. Then you can drive the tool into the bore until the axle shaft seal bottoms flush with the tube, install the axle shaft, the rear axle housing cover, the rear wheel speed sensor, and the tire and wheel assembly and fill the rear axle.

Q: How do you remove the Front Wheel Speed Sensor?
A:
You need to remove the tire and wheel assembly, the front disc brake rotor, the wheel speed sensor (WSS) cable mounting clip from the steering knuckle, the WSS cable mounting clip from the upper control arm, and the WSS cable mounting clip from the frame attachment point, disconnect the WSS cable electrical connector and remove the WSS mounting bolt and the WSS from the hub/bearing assembly.

You need to disconnect the electrical connector, remove the wheel speed sensor retaining bolt, release the wheel speed sensor wiring harness from the retainers and remove the wheel speed sensor.

Q: How do you install the Rear Wheel Speed Sensor?
A:
You need to use a twisting motion and install the wheel speed sensor until fully seated and install the wheel speed sensor retaining bolt, connect the electrical connector and install the wheel speed sensor wiring harness to the retainers.

Q: How do you install the Front Wheel Speed Sensor?
A:
You need to plug the WSS bore to prevent debris from falling into the hub, clean the WSS mounting surface on the hub to remove any rust or corrosion, apply a thin layer of lubricant to the hub surface and the WSS O-ring prior to installation, install the WSS into the hub/bearing assembly, ensure that the WSS is seated fully against the hub and install the WSS mounting bolt. Then you can install the WSS cable mounting clip to the knuckle, the WSS cable mounting clip to the upper control arm, and the WSS cable mounting clip to the frame attachment point, connect the WSS cable electrical connector, install the front disc brake rotor and the tire and wheel assembly and perform the diagnostic system check.
