Q: How to install the Fuel Injector?
A:
You should lubricate the new fuel injector O-ring seals with mineral oil GM P/N 9981704, next install the new fuel injector O-ring seals onto the fuel injector, install a new retainer clip to the fuel injector, then push the fuel injector into the rail socket with the electrical connector end facing outward, and connect the fuel injector harness electrical connector to the fuel injector, finally install the fuel rail assembly.

The tools required include J 37287 Fuel Line Shut-Off Adapters, J 35800-A Fuel Injector Cleaner, J 42873-1 3/8 Fuel Line Shut-Off Valve, J 42873-2 5/16 Return Pipe Shut-Off Valve, J 42964-1 3/8 Fuel Pipe Shut-Off Valve, and J 42964-2 5/16 Fuel Pipe Shut-Off Valve.

Q: How to remove the Fuel Injector?
A:
You need to remove the fuel rail assembly, disconnect the fuel injector harness electrical connector from the fuel injector, remove and discard the fuel injector retainer clip, remove the fuel injector from the fuel rail, then remove and discard the fuel injector O-ring seals from the injector.
