You should apply sealant GM P/N 12346004 (Canadian P/N 10953480) or equivalent to the heater outlet hose fitting threads, next install the heater outlet hose fitting, install the heater hose outlet to the heater pipe inlet, reposition the heater hose outlet clamp to the heater pipe inlet, then install the exhaust heat shield, and fill the engine cooling system.

You should install the outlet heater hose and the heater outlet hose to the outlet hose fitting, position the outlet heater hose clamp at the outlet hose fitting, then install the heater outlet hose to the heater core, position the outlet heater hose clamp at the heater core, then install the transmission and the generator, finally fill the cooling system.

Q: How to install the Heater Inlet Hose?
A:
You should apply coolant to the end of the heater inlet hose, install the heater inlet hose to the inlet hose fitting at the engine block, position the inlet heater hose clamp at the engine block, install the heater inlet hose to the heater core inlet, then press the quick connect onto the heater core inlet until fully seated, and fill the engine cooling system.
