You should install the new washer pump grommet into the washer solvent container, then use clean washer solvent on the washer pump intake spout to aid in the installation of the new washer pump, and apply downward pressure onto the pump to seat the pump to the grommet, next secure the top of the pump to the washer container, finally install the washer solvent container.

Q: How to remove the washer pump?
A:
You need to remove the washer solvent container, pull the top of the pump outward to release the pump from the container, then remove the washer pump from the washer container, then discard the washer pump and grommet.
