A:
You may need to install the fuel injector upper and lower O-rings, then lubricate the fuel injector upper O-ring using GM P/N 12345616 (Canadian P/N 993182), next install the fuel injector to the fuel rail, install the fuel injector retaining clip and the fuel rail.

01/11/2022Q: What should be noticed during the fuel injector cleaning?
A:
You will need to notice that GM Top-Engine Cleaner is the only injector cleaning agent recommended. You are not recommended to use other cleaning agents, as they may contain methanol which can damage fuel system components. Besides, under NO circumstances should the top engine cleaner be added to the vehicle's fuel tank, as it may damage the fuel pump and other system components. What's more, please do not exceed a 10 percent cleaning solution concentration. Higher concentrations may damage fuel system components. Testing has demonstrated that exceeding the 10 percent cleaning solution concentration does not improve the effectiveness of this procedure.
