FAQ for Ignition Coil Repair

Q: How do you remove the ignition coil/control module?
A:
You can remove the injector sight shield, disconnect the spark plug wires and note the position from which the wires are removed, then disconnect the ignition coil/control module electrical connectors, remove the 4 bolts securing the ignition coil/control module to the ignition control module bracket and the ignition coil/control module.

Q: How to remove the ignition coil/control module?
A:
You will need to install the ignition coil/control module to the ignition control module bracket, install the 4 bolts securing the ignition coil/control module to the ignition control module bracket and tighten the bolts to 4.5 N.m (40 lb in), then connect the ignition coil/control module electrical connectors and the spark plug wires, then install the injector sight shield.
