Q: What should be done if the intermediate shaft was removed without the use of scribed marks?
A:
You will need to place the road wheels in the straight-ahead position, next align the steering column shaft notch in the 12 o'clock position and connect the intermediate shaft to the steering column, then install a new upper intermediate shaft pinch bolt.

Q: How to remove the Intermediate Steering Shaft?
A:
You will need to remove the ignition key with the steering wheel in the straight forward position, then remove the intermediate steering shaft to steering gear pinch bolt, and next disengage the intermediate shaft seal from the body panel. You can place scribe makes on the intermediate shaft to the steering column connection, remove the intermediate shaft pinch bolt at the steering column, disconnect the intermediate steering shaft and remove the intermediate steering shaft assembly.
