Q: How to remove the Engine Coolant Thermostat Housing?
A:
You will need to remove the fuel injector sight shield, drain the coolant until the coolant level is below the thermostat, then remove the crossover exhaust pipe, remove the radiator hose from the thermostat housing, remove the thermostat housing bolts and clean any sealer from the bolt threads, then remove the thermostat housing and the thermostat.

Q: How to install the Engine Coolant Thermostat Housing?
A:
You may need to install the thermostat and the thermostat housing, then install RTV sealer, GM P/N 12378478 (Canadian P/N 88900041), or the equivalent, to the thermostat housing bolt threads, install the thermostat housing bolts, next install the radiator hose, the crossover exhaust pipe, and the fuel injector sight shield, finally fill and inspect the cooling system.
