Q: How do I remove the Intake Camshaft and Lifter?
A:
Start with removing the camshaft cover and the upper timing chain guide. Next, install the sprocket holding tool and remove both the intake and exhaust camshaft bolts. Slide the sprockets forward and mark the caps before removal. Then remove the caps and the intake camshaft, the camshaft roller followers, and the hydraulic lash adjusters.
Q: What is the camshaft cover installation procedure?
A:
First, transfer the oil fill cap to the new camshaft cover and install the camshaft cover. Install the camshaft cover bolts and tighten the bolt to 10 Nm. Next, install the engine wiring harness clips to the camshaft cover, and install the ignition coil and the fuel line bracket/bolt. Tighten the bolt to 10 Nm and install the engine compartment fuel line clips to the fuel line bracket. Finally, install the PCV hose to the camshaft cover and the air cleaner outlet resonator.
