Start with attaching the equalizer to the front park brake cable and then connect the front park brake cable to the rear cable at the clip. Next, install the left rear brake cable and adjustment stud to the equalizer, adjust the park brake system and lower the vehicle.

Q: How do I remove the park cable equalizer?
A:
After lifting the vehicle, disconnect the left rear park brake cable and adjustment stud from the equalizer. Next, you'll need to disconnect the front park brake cable front the right side cable at the clip. Remove the equalizer from the cable and Insert a flat-bladed tool into the equalizer to move it from the retainer tab, it will release the cable.

Q: How do I remove the parking brake cable?
A:
Start with relieving the cable tension at the brake equalizer. Disconnect the front cable and remove it from the equalizer and cable guides. Lower the vehicle, remove the left side closeout/insulator panel and the lower center pillar panel on the left side as well as the retainers. Move the carpet to gain access to the front park brake cable. Remove the clip and disconnect from the clevis. Release the retainer holding cable to the bracket on the pedal assembly and remove the cable.

Q: How do I remove the rear park brake cable?
A:
Relieve the park brake cable tension at the equalizer and disconnect the front cable from the rear cable. If right. disconnect from the clip. If left. fully remove the equalizer stud. Remove the retainer that attaches the cable to the bracket. Disconnect the cable from the lever, and lastly, remove the retaining pin from the support bracket.
