Q: How to install the steering linkage inner tie rod?
A:
The proper way is to apply LOCTITE(R) 262 to the steering gear inner tie rod threads, attach the steering linkage inner tie rod onto the steering gear rack, place a pipe wrench on the steering gear rack, and install the steering gear boot.

Q: How to remove the steering linkage inner tie rod?
A:
The proper way is to remove the steering gear boot, place a pipe wrench on the steering gear rack, and a wrench on the flats of the steering linkage inner tie rod housing, and rotate the steering linkage inner tie rod housing counterclockwise until the steering linkage inner tie rod separates from the steering gear rack.
