Q: How to learn the crankshaft position system variation?
A:
You can install a scan tool, monitor the engine control module (ECM) for Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC), select the crankshaft position (CKP) variation learn procedure, accelerate to wide open throttle (WOT), release in progress and then turn off the ignition for 30 seconds after the learn procedure is completed successfully. The CKP system variation learn procedure is also required when the following service procedures have been performed.

Q: How to install the crankshaft position sensor?
A:
You can install the CKP sensor, and the CKP sensor bolt, connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector, install the starter and then perform the CKP system variation learn procedure.

A:
The recommended torque is 25 N.m (18 LB-FT).

Q: How to remove the crankshaft position sensor?
A:
You can remove the starter, disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector, clean the area around the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor before removal to avoid debris from entering the engine, remove the CKP sensor bolt and then remove the CKP sensor.
