You can remove the air cleaner outlet duct, the engine wiring harness bracket nut, the connector position assurance (CPA) retainer, the CPA retainer, the engine wiring harness clip, the negative battery cable stud, the negative battery cable terminal and engine wiring harness ground terminal, the engine wiring harness clip bolt, the fuel rail crossover pipe retainer screws, the fuel rail crossover pipe retainers, the fuel rail crossover pipe, and the fuel rail crossover pipe O-ring seals.

The fuel rail stop bracket must be installed onto the engine assembly. The stop bracket serves as a protective shield for the fuel rail in the event of a vehicle frontal crash. If the fuel rail stop bracket is not installed and the vehicle is involved in a frontal crash, fuel could be sprayed possibly causing a fire and personal injury from burns.

Q: How to remove the fuel injection fuel rail assembly?
A:
You can remove the air cleaner outlet duct, remove the engine wiring harness bracket nut, disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the evaporative emission (EVAP) purge solenoid, disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the generator and then disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor.

Q: How to service the fuel pressure relief?
A:
You can remove the fuel pump fuse, loosen the fuel fill cap, remove the engine cover, remove the fuel rail service port cap, wrap a shop towel around the fuel rail service port, remove the shop towel, install the fuel rail service port cap, install the engine cover and then tighten the fuel fill cap.
