Q: How to remove the Radiator (LY7 Standard Cooling)?
A:
First, you need to drain the coolant, remove the electric cooling fan assembly, the lower and upper condenser mounting bolts, and the transmission oil cooler mounting bolts, and disconnect the lower retainer pins of the side air baffle from the radiator. Then, please remove the radiator support bracket bolts, and the radiator support brackets and use J 38778 to remove the radiator/condenser upper support, use J 38185 to disconnect the surge tank inlet hose from the radiator. Reposition the hose aside. Finally, you should use J 38185 to disengage tension on the radiator inlet hose clamp and disconnect the hose from the radiator, use J 38185 to disengage tension on the radiator outlet hose clamp and disconnect the hose from the radiator and disconnect the upper retainer pins on the side air baffle from the radiator and remove the radiator.
