Q: How to install the Output Shaft Seal-Right Side?
A:
First, you need to lubricate the wheel drive shaft sealing surface of the oil seal with 75W90 synthetic axle lubricant, GM P/N 12378261 (Canadian P/N 10953455) or equivalent. Then, please install the right differential output shaft seal to the J 45017, install the right differential output shaft seal and remove J 45017 from the right differential output shaft seal. Finally, you should install the right front wheel drive shaft and inspect the fluid level.

Q: How to remove the Output Shaft Seal-Left Side?
A:
First, you need to remove the carrier from the vehicle, remove the bolts from the pinion bearing housing, install the J 45019 and slide hammer and use the J 25070 to apply heat around the pinion housing to ease removal. Then, please remove the J 45019 from the flange, remove the pinion assembly, O-ring, and the shims from the differential carrier, remove the carrier side cover bolts and use the appropriate tool in the pry tabs to remove the carrier side cover. Finally, you should remove the O-ring from the side cover, remove the differential assembly from the carrier, remove the right output shaft seal from the cover and use a suitable tool to remove the left output shaft oil seal from the carrier.
