FAQ for Variable Timing Sprocket Repair

Q: How to install the Camshaft Position Actuator-Bank 1 (Right Side) Exhaust?
A:
First, you need to align the exhaust camshaft actuator alignment mark to the timing chain alignment mark made during disassembly and ensure that the intake camshaft actuator alignment mark and the timing chain alignment mark are also aligned. Then, please position the exhaust camshaft actuator to the camshaft and install the actuator bolt hand tight, remove the EN-48313, tighten the right exhaust camshaft position actuator bolt and install the right intake and exhaust camshaft position actuator solenoids, the right intake and exhaust camshaft position sensors and the right camshaft cover. Finally, you should install the intake manifold (on LLT engines) or install the lower intake manifold with the upper manifold (on LP1 and LY7 engines).
