You may need to install the park brake cable into the bracket on the brake caliper, slide the park brake cable forward, install it to the park brake actuator lever, then install the 2 retaining bolts, tighten the retaining bolts to 6 N.m (53 lb in), next install the retaining clip, install the left park brake cable to the equalizer, install the right rear brake cable to the equalizer, install the front brake cable in the connector, and then install the tire and wheel.

Q: How to remove the Parking Brake Intermediate Cable?
A:
You will need to raise the vehicle and support, pull down on the intermediate park brake cable near the park brake cable connector, remove the intermediate park brake cable from the park brake cable connector, disconnect the intermediate park brake cable from the rear equalizer, and the right rear park brake cable, disconnect the intermediate park brake cable housing from the rear park brake cable housing connector, and remove the intermediate park brake cable.

Q: How do you remove the Parking Brake Rear Cable-Left Side (J55)?
A:
You can pull down on the intermediate brake cable to relieve the cable tension, lift on the rear tab in the connector to remove the intermediate brake cable from the front brake cable, remove the brake cable retaining bolt, lift the tab to remove the brake cable from the equalizer, using the J 37043, remove the brake cable from the mounting bracket, remove the brake cable from the mounting bracket, remove the brake cable from the actuator, then using the J 37043, remove the brake cable from the mounting bracket, and remove the brake cable.

Q: How to install the Parking Brake Rear Cable-Right Side (J55)?
A:
You may need to install a brake cable end in the actuator arm, install the park brake cable in the retaining bracket, position the park cable on the rear control arm, install the retaining bolt for the park brake cable and tighten the retaining bolt to 24 N.m (18 lb-ft), then install the park brake cable into the right rear frame bracket, install the intermediate cable into the connector. When you finish, the park brake system is self-adjusting and no cable adjustment is needed.
