Q: How to remove the Valve Rocker Arm Cover?
A:
You can remove the intake manifold cover, the connector position assurance (CPA) retainer, disconnect the engine harness electrical connector, remove the engine harness clip, reposition the engine harness, remove the spark plug wires, the ignition coil bracket studs, the ignition coil bracket, the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) hose, loosen the valve rocker arm cover bolts, remove the valve rocker arm cover, remove and discard the old gasket.

All gasket surfaces should be free of oil or other foreign material during assembly. If the oil fill tube has been removed from the rocker arm cover, install a NEW fill tube during assembly.

Q: How to install the Valve Rocker Arm Cover?
A:
You can install a rocker cover gasket, and the valve rocker arm cover, tighten the rocker arm cover bolts, install the PCV hose, and apply thread lock to the threads of the ignition coil bracket studs. Refer to Sealers, Adhesives, and Lubricants, position the ignition coil bracket, install the ignition coil bracket studs, and the spark plug wires, position the engine harness, install the engine harness clip, connect the engine harness electrical connector, install the CPA retainer, the intake manifold cover.
