2008 Cadillac SRX Catalytic Converter

You should install the oxygen sensor to the catalytic converter and the catalytic converter seal/heat shield to the catalytic converter, carefully install the catalytic converter to the exhaust manifold, install the catalytic converter to exhaust manifold fasteners, connect the oxygen sensor electrical connector and the muffler pipes to the left and right side catalytic converters, install the front driveshaft, lower the vehicle, tighten the catalytic converter nuts and install the right bank exhaust manifold heat shield.

To avoid damaging the replacement three-way catalytic converter, you should correct the engine misfire or mechanical fault before replacing the three-way catalytic converter.

To prevent internal damage to the flexible coupling of the catalytic converter assembly, the converter must be supported and the vertical movement at the rear of the catalytic converter assembly must not exceed 6 degrees up or down.

You should install the oxygen sensor to the catalytic converter, inspect the catalytic converter seal/heat shield sealing surface, replace the seal/heat shield if the sealing surface is worn or damaged, install the catalytic converter seal/heat shield to the catalytic converter, carefully install the catalytic converter to the exhaust manifold, install the catalytic converter nuts, connect the oxygen sensor electrical connector and the muffler pipes to the left and right side catalytic converters, lower the vehicle, tighten the catalytic converter to exhaust manifold fasteners and install the right bank exhaust manifold heat shield.
