2008 Cadillac SRX Control Arm

You should raise and support the vehicle, remove the tire and wheel, the air deflector, the shock module yoke from the lower control arm, the stabilizer shaft link lower retaining nut, the stabilizer shaft link from the lower control arm, the ABS wire harness from the lower control arm and the lower control arm to steering knuckle nut, separate the lower control arm from the steering knuckle, loosen the power steering gear retaining bolts and raise the power steering gear and remove the lower control arm to cradle nuts, the lower control arm to cradle bolts and the lower control arm by lowering the lower control arm at the frame and moving the ball stud upwards.

You should install the lower control arm to the vehicle, loosely install all fasteners before tightening, install the lower control arm to frame bolt and nut, the lower control arm to knuckle bolt and the rear coil spring, tighten the fasteners, connect the stabilizer shaft link to the lower control arm, install the stabilizer shaft link lower retaining nut and the tire and wheel and lower the vehicle.

The ball stud must not rotate during disassembly or reassembly and hand tools must be used to keep the ball stud from rotating. Then, you should raise and support the vehicle, remove the tire and wheel and the upper control arm to the knuckle retaining nut, disconnect the upper control arm from the knuckle and remove the upper control arm to frame mounting nuts, the upper control arm to frame mounting bolts and discard and the upper control arm from the vehicle.
