2008 Cadillac SRX Exterior Door Handle

You should place the window in the full-up position, remove the door trim panel and the rear push-in retainer on the water deflector, pull the water deflector away from the door panel far enough to access the outside door handle, disconnect the outside door handle rod, remove the outside door handle cap screw access plug from the door and the screw securing the outside door handle cap, open the door handle slightly then remove the cap, raise the outside door handle counterbalance weight and remove the outside door handle, the gaskets, the outside door handle bracket by sliding rearward and the handle rod from the outside door handle bracket.

You should place the window in the full-up position, remove the door trim panel and the rear push-in retainer on the water deflector, peel the water deflector away from the door panel far enough to access the outside door handle, disconnect the outside door handle rod by opening the retainer at the door latch, remove the outside door handle cap screw access plug from the door and the screw securing the outside door handle cap, open the door handle slightly then remove the cap, raise the outside door handle counterbalance weight and remove the outside door handle by rocking outboard and sliding rearward and remove the gaskets, the outside door handle bracket by sliding rearward and the handle rod from the outside door handle bracket.
