Q: How to remove the Valve Stem Oil Seal and Valve Spring-Left Side?
A:
You should remove the starter motor, install the EN 46106 to prevent crankshaft rotation, remove the camshafts and rocker arms and the spark plug from the applicable cylinder, install the J 39313 to the applicable cylinder, connect the J 39313 to a compressed air source, install the EN 46110 above the applicable cylinder as shown, tighten the EN 46110 Valve Spring compressor nut, remove the valve keepers, loosen the EN 46110 valve spring compressor nut and remove the valve spring retainer, the valve spring and the valve stem seal.
Q: How to remove the Valve Lifter-Left Side?
A:
You should remove the applicable camshaft(s), the rocker arms, and the lifters and clean and inspect the camshaft(s), rocker arm(s), and lifter(s).
Q: How to remove the Camshaft Cover-Right Side?
A:
You should remove the engine cover and the upper intake manifold with the lower intake manifold, disconnect the ignition coil electrical connectors, remove the wiring harness from the side of the camshaft cover by sliding the conduit down and outboard, the wiring conduit retainers from the camshaft cover by rotating the wiring harness conduit retainers counterclockwise and the wiring harness from the front of the camshaft cover, reposition and secure the wiring harnesses away from the camshaft cover to provide clearance and remove the ignition coils and the camshaft cover and remove and discard the camshaft cover seal and grommets.
