Q: How to install the Steering Gear (Right Hand Drive)?
A:
You should install the steering gear and the rearward left side lower control arm nut and bolt, remove the steering gear bolts, lower the front differential housing, remove the jack, connect the left front brake line to the left front brake hose and the power steering gear inlet and outlet hoses to the steering gear, install the power steering gear inlet hose bracket bolt, connect the rack and pinion outer tie rod ends to the steering knuckles and the lower intermediate steering shaft to the steering gear, install the lower intermediate steering shaft bolt, clean any excess power steering fluid from the vehicle and remove the drain pans, install the front air deflector, the right side wheelhouse panel and the front tire and wheel assemblies, remove the anti-rotation pin J 42640, fill and bleed the power steering system and the hydraulic brake system and adjust the front toe.

Q: How to remove the Power Steering Gear Solenoid/Actuator?
A:
You should remove the left front tire and wheel assembly and the front air deflector, place drain pans under the vehicle as needed, clean any dirt or debris from the power steering gear solenoid/actuator and wiring harness area, disconnect the power steering gear solenoid/actuator wiring harness electrical connectors and remove the harness from the 2 plastic retainers and loosen the power steering gear solenoid/actuator from the steering gear with a counter-clockwise rotation and remove it from the steering gear.
