01/11/2022Q: How to remove the Engine Coolant Thermostat Housing (LY7-Gas, 6 Cylinder, 3.6L, SFI, V6)?
A:
You should disconnect the heater hoses from the heater core, remove the thermostat, the thermostat housing bolts, the thermostat housing with the heater pipes, the hoses and bolts, and clean the sealing surfaces with a plastic gasket scraper such as J 28410 or equivalent.

You should assemble the heater pipes and hoses to the thermostat housing, install a new gasket to the thermostat housing, the thermostat housing bolts to the thermostat housing, the thermostat housing bolts to retain the gasket, the thermostat housing with the heater pipes, heater hoses, gasket and bolt, the thermostat housing bolts and the thermostat and connect the heater hoses to the heater core.
