The procedure is to position the exhaust hanger mounting bracket between the rear energy absorber and the stud plate, install the nuts securing the rear energy absorber and the exhaust hanger mounting bracket to the rear compartment rail, apply a soapy solution to the following to ease the installation of the hangers, press the tail pipe hangers over the tailpipe hanger rods, press the tail pipe hangers over the exhaust hanger mounting bracket rods, lower the vehicle.

The procedure is to raise and support the vehicle, apply a suitable lubricant to the following to ease the removal of the hangers, pry the tail pipe hangers free from the tailpipe hanger rods, pry the tail pipe hangers free from the exhaust hanger mounting bracket rods, remove the nuts securing the rear energy absorber and the exhaust hanger mounting bracket to the rear compartment rail, remove the stud plate from the rear energy absorber, remove the exhaust hanger mounting bracket from the rear energy absorber.
