You should remove the steering wheel from the steering shaft, 2 TORX(R) head screws from the lower trim cover, the lower trim cover, 2 TORX(R) head screws from the upper trim cover, the upper trim cover, the wire harness straps from the steering wheel column wire harness, the retaining ring and the SIR coil from the steering shaft.

Q: How to install the Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Coil?
A:
You should align the SIR coil assembly with the horn tower on the turn signal cancel cam assembly, seat the retaining ring into the groove on the steering shaft assembly, remove the centering tab from the new SIR coil, install the upper trim cover securing by using 2 TORX(R) head screws, the lower trim cover securing by using 2 TORX(R) head screws, and the steering wheel onto the steering shaft.
