You should pull the power steering pump pulley off of the splined shaft, apply a special purpose grease to the splined shaft of the power steering pump, apply grease GM P/N 1051344 (Canadian P/N 993037) to the splines on the power steering pump shaft and ensure the axial tolerance of the pulley on the power pump shaft is within 0.25 mm (0.010 in).

A:
You should place a drain pan under the vehicle, release the hose clamp, pull the inlet hose off the power steering pump inlet tube, remove the power steering pressure hose bolt from the pump, remove the power steering pump bolts from the pump, and pull the power steering pump from the bracket and apply grease FM P/N 1051344 (Canadian P/N 993037) to the splines on the power steering pump shaft.
