FAQ for Rocker Arm Repair

Q: What are the valve rocker arm and push rod installation procedures?
A:
First, lubricate the rocker arms and pushrods with clean engine oil. Next, lubricate the flange of the rocker arm bolts with clean engine oil as well. Install the rocker arm pivot support, the pushrods, and the rocker arm/bolts. After that install the number one cylinder spark plug and the rocker arm cover.
