Position the transmission range selector cable bracket to the transmission. Install the transmission range selector cable bracket bolts. Connect the fuel hose/pipe retainer (4) to the range selector cable bracket. Connect the transmission vent hose retainer (6) to the range selector cable bracket. Install the range selector cable (3) to the bracket (2). Install the retainer (4) to the range selector cable (3). Adjust the automatic transmission range selector cable.

Q: What is the installation procedure for the Range Selector Lever Cable?
A:
Push the range selector cable down through the floor panel and seat the cable grommet. Route the range selector cable through the dash mat. Connect the range selector cable retainer to the lower dash panel. Install the range selector cable to the steering column bracket. Install the retainer to the range selector cable. Push the range selector cable end onto the range selector lever ball stud to secure. Reposition the driver's side carpet to the floor panel. Inspect the accelerator pedal for binding, to ensure the full range of motion. Install the left hinge pillar trim panel. Raise and support the vehicle. Install the range selector cable to the bracket. Install the retainer to the range selector cable. Remove and discard the primary lock lockout pin if a new cable is being installed. Adjust the automatic transmission range selector cable. Lower the vehicle.
