Use only Delco Supreme 11(R), GM P/N 12377967 (Canadian P/N 992667), or equivalent DOT-3 brake fluid from a clean, sealed brake fluid container.

Q: What is the installation procedure for the Master Cylinder?
A:
Bench bleed the master cylinder. Install the master cylinder on the mounting studs. Install the mounting nuts. Install the fluid lever sensor electrical connector. Remove the rubber caps and or plugs from the brake lines. Install the brake lines from the ABS module to the master cylinder. Fill the reservoir with fluid. Check the operation of the brake system. Bleed the brakes if necessary.

Q: What is the installation procedure for the Master Cylinder Reservoir?
A:
Inspect the reservoir for cracks or deformation. Clean and dry the reservoir. Lubricate the new seals and the outer surface area of the reservoir-to-housing barrels. Install the lubricated seals and the reservoir to the master cylinder. Tap the reservoir retaining pins into place to secure the reservoir. Install the cover. Remove the master cylinder from the vice. Install the master cylinder.

A:
Remove the brake fluid from the master cylinder reservoir. Remove the fluid lever sensor electrical connector. Remove the brake lines from the ABS module to the master cylinder. Install the rubber cap and or plugs the brake lines. Remove the mounting bolts from the master cylinder. Remove the master cylinder.
