Q: What is the installation procedure for the Brake Shoe?
A:
Apply a small amount of high-temperature silicone grease or equivalent to the contact areas between the rear brake shoes and the backing plate. Install the park brake cable in the lever. Install the retractor spring and the secondary brake shoe on the backing plate. Install the park brake adjusting hardware. Adjust the rear brake shoes. Install the rear brake drum. Lower the vehicle.

19/02/2022Q: What is the removal procedure for the Brake Shoe?
A:
Lift and support the vehicle. Remove the rear brake drum assembly. Clean the rear brake shoes. Remove the adjuster assembly, the secondary brake shoe, the retractor spring, the primary brake shoe, and the return spring. Press the lock tab for the park brake cable. Hold the lock tab in place. Push the park brake cable forward. Remove the park brake cable from the lever.
