You will need to turn OFF the ignition before inserting your fingers into the throttle bore. Unexpected movement of the throttle blade could cause personal injury. And you mustn't insert any tools into the throttle body bore to avoid damage to the throttle valve plate.

A:
You mustn't push or pull on the IAC valve pintle. The force required to move the pintle may damage the threads on the worm drive. Also, you shouldn't soak the IAC valve in any liquid cleaner or solvent, as damage may result.
